Salon du Parfum 2026: An Attempt at a Complete Guide to the Fragrance Festival

Known almost automatically among perfume lovers by the abbreviation Salopa, Salon du Parfum began at Isetan Shinjuku in 2013 and has now become a regular fixture of the holiday season. Plenty of other writers offer reports and recommendations, so this site will take a more objective approach, exploring Salopa’s history and development, the 2026 event information, and the participating brands in greater detail than anywhere else. Let us look back at its past and consider this year’s highlights and ways to enjoy it.

Updated September 19, 2026. In addition to events and visiting guests, special and advance-release products, online sales, and purchase gifts, this update incorporates the reservation and lottery application links that opened on September 19, along with their deadlines. At 11:25 that day, the official information also corrected the booking link for the October 11 session with an Isetan Shinjuku Fragrance Sales Specialist. History and Analysis

The First Salon du Parfum

On November 6, 2013, Isetan Shinjuku held its first event devoted in earnest to perfume, Isetan Salon du Parfum: A Festival of Fragrance, in the Main Building’s seventh-floor event hall. The reason behind it appears to have been that “in Japan, where fragrance culture had been less familiar than in Europe and North America, the recent normalization of scented fabric softeners and other developments had allowed fragrance culture to take root.” It seems that fragrances from throughout the store were brought together, with limited-edition products, an engraving service, and reservation-only events organized in collaboration with the fragrance association.

Perhaps because the event was still experimental and social media was less active than it is now, there was little of the ambassador-led promotion or reporting by perfume enthusiasts that we see today.

We want to enrich not only the product selection but also the events and services, with the aim of making this one of Isetan’s signature events. We want to help fragrance culture take root in Japan, starting from our store.

Hankyu’s Short-Lived Event

After Isetan made the event a success and began holding it annually, Hankyu attempted a similar event in the Kansai region. This was Galerie de Parfum, held from August 30, 2015, in the Festival Plaza on the ninth floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store. Running alongside Hankyu Fashion Weeks, the event brought together 300 perfumes from 14 houses and included a Guerlain fragrance class and an exhibition and sale of historic Lalique perfume bottles. One limited-edition offering was L’Heure Bleue (490 ml), priced at a remarkable ¥1,684,800.
However, whether it did not go as well as expected or the timing was judged premature, it did not continue the following year. It returned at Hankyu Men’s Tokyo in 2020, but that was the only revival.

Salon du Parfum, year by year

Is Perfume Culture Spreading in Japan?

Has Salon du Parfum really been successful since 2013? Beyond its success as a retail event, has it influenced perfume culture in Japan? To consider these questions as objectively as possible, this article has long looked at search activity and social media posts. For the 2026 edition, I have retrieved the search trends again and added market size and actual usage data to revisit the question.

To give my view first: the market for enjoying fragrance is expanding, and some people explore it in depth. But we cannot yet say that perfume has become part of everyone’s everyday life. Let us examine that distinction through the numbers. (Data checked: September 5, 2026.)

Search Interest Reached a Peak in 2022–2023

Searches for “Salon du Parfum” tend to cluster around the event dates. As in the original graph, I therefore selected the month with the highest search interest in each year. For “fragrance,” by contrast, I used the annual average of the monthly indices. I continue to use the Japanese search term for “fragrance” rather than the one for “perfume,” because the latter also includes searches for a song of that name. However, “fragrance” also includes interest in room fragrances and other products not worn on the skin.

The parameters are Japan, Web Search, all categories, January 2013–August 2026. Each of the two search terms was examined separately, with the highest month within the period indexed to 100. These indices represent relative interest as a share of all searches, not numbers of searches or people. Nor can the values in the two graphs be compared directly with each other. About Google Trends data

Search index for Salon du Parfum, using the peak month in each year: 100 in 2022 and 2023, 94 in 2024, and 76 in 2025. The 2026 figure of 14 covers January–August only. (in Japanese)
Highest monthly index in each year for “Salon du Parfum” (January–August only for 2026). Select the image to enlarge it. Google Trends parameters
Annual average search index for fragrance: 87.9 in 2022, 81.0 in 2023, 77.2 in 2024, and 76.9 in 2025. The 2026 figure of 71.4 covers January–August only. (in Japanese)

For the event name, the annual maximum rose from 26 in 2019 to 35 in 2020 and 36 in 2021, reaching 100 in October of both 2022 and 2023. It then stood at 94 in 2024 and 76 in 2025. This suggests that the event now attracts much more interest than in its early years, but not that attention necessarily rises every year. The values shown for 2013–2015 are 0; that does not mean there were no searches at all, since low search volumes and the rounding of indices also affect the display.

The annual average for “fragrance” likewise rose from 59.5 in 2019 to 76.0 in 2020, peaked at 87.9 in 2022, and then fell to 81.0 in 2023, 77.2 in 2024, and 76.9 in 2025. My earlier description of a “steady upward trend” should probably be revised here. Although interest remains higher than in the 2010s, it has settled down since 2022. Search data alone cannot establish that perfume culture is expanding at the same pace every year.

For reference, the 2026 figures are 14 for the event name and 71.4 for fragrance, but these are partial-year figures covering January–August only. They do not yet include Salon du Parfum’s autumn run, so it would be inappropriate to compare them with full-year figures through 2025 and conclude that popularity has plunged this year. The 2026 points are also kept separate in the graphs rather than joined to the lines for earlier years.

The 2026 Market Is Forecast at ¥63.6 Billion: A Somewhat Different Picture from Search Momentum

What, then, does spending tell us? According to published figures from Fuji Keizai, Japan’s fragrance market reached ¥57.5 billion in 2024, up 15.0% year on year. Its latest release, dated August 28, 2026, forecasts ¥63.6 billion for 2026, up 4.8% year on year. Even after search indices leveled off, the company expects the market to continue expanding. Published figures for the 2024 market / Latest release, August 2026

YearDomestic Market SizeYear-on-Year ChangeType of Figure

Source: Fuji Keizai. Covers four categories: parfum, eau de parfum/eau de toilette, light fragrances, and men’s fragrances. The 2026 figure is not a full-year actual result.

It is important to remember that growth in sales value does not necessarily mean a corresponding increase in the number of users. The company’s research also cites purchases of higher-priced products, price increases, and inbound tourism demand as factors behind market growth. For 2026, it points to both consumers turning to more accessible products such as smaller sizes and consumers enjoying expensive products or buying several at a time.

People seeking their first bottle and people who already own many but keep following new creators: both ways of enjoying perfume coexist within the same market. I find the divergence between search momentum and market growth interesting, too, as a change that cannot easily be reduced to a simple story of a boom arriving or fading away.

How Many People Actually Use Perfume?

In a survey conducted by MyVoice Communications among 11,444 registered panelists on February 1–7, 2026, 14.3% had used perfume within the preceding year. For all body fragrance products, including body mists and hair fragrances, the figure was 27.2%. The numbers differ considerably depending on whether we mean “people who use fragrance” or “people who use perfume.” MyVoice Communications’ 2026 survey

Body Fragrance Products Used in the Preceding YearShare of All Respondents
Users of body fragrance products (subtotal excluding duplicate respondents)27.2%
Perfume (including spray, dab-on, and solid forms)14.3%
Body mists, fragrance sprays, etc.10.3%
Hair fragrances, hair colognes, etc.7.7%
Fragrance oils, scented body creams, etc.7.0%
Source: MyVoice Communications, “Survey on Perfume and Fragrance” (February 2026, n = 11,444). Multiple responses were allowed for product types. Products whose main purpose is something other than adding fragrance, and products used in spaces or on clothing, were excluded.

However, this was an online survey of registered panelists, and approximately 78% of respondents were in their 50s to 70s. The figure of 14.3% cannot simply be declared the perfume usage rate for Japan’s entire population, nor can this single survey tell us whether the number of users is rising or falling. Even so, I feel we need to distinguish impressions formed in places where perfume enthusiasts gather from usage in the lives of a broader range of people. Details of the questions and respondent profile

If we are considering fragrance culture, we want to know not only how many bottles people buy but also when they use them and in what mood. Someone becomes interested in perfume, finds a personal way to enjoy it through small sizes or familiar products, and continues using it comfortably. Perhaps only when we can see that kind of spread can we say that a culture has taken root.

Connecting Salopa’s Success with the Spread of Perfume Culture

For the event itself, Mitsukoshi Isetan’s 2025 announcement reported that sales had grown approximately tenfold from the first to the twelfth edition, and that in 2024 customers bought an average of around three bottles, with some purchasing ten or more. However, these purchase figures come from store-card customer data and are not an average across all visitors. These are verifiable past results, not results for the 2026 event. Mitsukoshi Isetan’s 2025 announcement

Its 2024 announcement also reported that niche fragrance sales at Isetan Shinjuku had grown approximately 1.8-fold over the preceding three years, and that the Main Building’s first-floor fragrance department had been expanded to approximately 1.5 times its former size in autumn 2023. Beyond searches and social media, the growth of permanent places where people can try fragrances and talk with sales staff is, I think, a concrete example of the infrastructure supporting this culture developing. Mitsukoshi Isetan’s 2024 announcement

In that sense, the event’s expansion in 2020 to Mitsukoshi Isetan Group stores nationwide was probably significant too. As the original article noted, encounters between people and fragrances in different regions are part of its appeal, such as Yonekura of Le Sillage introducing perfumes across brand boundaries in Kyoto. It is worth viewing the expansion not only in terms of sales, but also as a widening of service and experiences. Announcement of the 2020 nationwide edition

In 2026, a Summer Perfume Market was also held in the Men’s Building from July 8 to 28. I previously wrote that the event “helps build excitement for the holiday season from October onward,” but opportunities to encounter fragrances are no longer confined to autumn. Suggestions for choosing scents to suit everyday clothing and moods now continue into summer as well. Official information on the 2026 Summer Perfume Market

In my view, we cannot go so far as to say that Salon du Parfum single-handedly created perfume culture in Japan. Market growth, prices, and the demographics of users each have their own dynamics. Still, once a year, many brands, sales staff, and perfume lovers gather to encounter fragrances and creators they did not previously know. As a place from which people can bring those encounters into everyday life, I believe the event has come to play a more established role than before.

Note: The Instagram hashtag-count table in the earlier version did not show actual annual post totals or user numbers, and comparable conditions could not be established. In the 2026 edition, it has therefore been replaced with a table from a usage survey. Google Trends values can change when retrieved again, so the retrieval date and parameters are stated together.

The 14th Isetan Shinjuku Salon du Parfum 2026

Official page: Salon du Parfum 2026
Theme: “Fragrance Cinema: Wear a Story, Discover Your Many Selves”
Special invitation day for MI Card members: Wednesday, October 7, 2026, 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
General admission dates: Thursday, October 8–Monday, October 12, 2026 (public holiday); closes at 6:00 p.m. on the final day
Venue: Event Hall, Main Building 6F, Isetan Shinjuku
Listed brands, shops, and sales areas: 71 entries on the official participant list, including 47 brands on Main Building 6F and 12 brands and shops in the Men’s Building (see the 2026 brand map here)

The theme was “Instinct” in 2024, “Travel” in 2025, and now “Cinema” in 2026. Looking at this progression, Salopa seems to have evolved from an event gathering brands and limited editions into a place that proposes ways to choose fragrance, experience it, and make it part of your own story. The 2026 “Fragrance Cinema” concept likens the development of top, middle, and base notes to a film’s unfolding structure, inviting us to consider the time and narrative contained in a single bottle of perfume.

Highlights of 2026

  • The Salon du Parfum Film Festival: Self-guided sampling focused on fragrance storytelling, along with fragrance awards selected by the ISETAN BEAUTY team, including “Best Screenplay” and “Best Newcomer.”
  • Limited-time shops: Emerging brands presented in a space reminiscent of a cinema entrance.
  • Talk events: Industry guests explore fragrance culture’s past and future. Some require advance reservations.
  • Japanese debuts: Three brands: VAPORMUNDUM and New Notes in the Main Building, and TSU LANGE YOR in the Men’s Building.

Cinema is more than a decorative theme. Just as VAPORMUNDUM translates music, emotions, and imaginary worlds into fragrance, and New Notes explores combinations of materials that transcend conventional boundaries, the 2026 brand selection invites us to ask not only “What does it smell like?” but also “What does this fragrance tell us?” Meanwhile, brands carrying long histories, such as Buly, Santa Maria Novella, and Farina 1709, share the venue with fashion houses such as Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, and Loewe. The appeal this year is not simply novelty: it is the chance to walk through the timeline of perfume history itself.

Despite its name, the Men’s Building is not a place devoted exclusively to fragrances for men. It brings together brands worth comparing for their authorship, materials, and concepts, including ATELIER MATERI, JORUM STUDIO, Neandertal, BORNTOSTANDOUT, and LIQUIDES IMAGINAIRES. Rather than ending your visit after the Main Building’s sixth floor, include it in your itinerary to broaden your encounters. How crowded the Men’s Building will be also depends on conditions on the day.

A Beginner’s Guide to Enjoying Salopa

The most important thing about Salopa is not that it brings together many perfume brands, sells small-size sets for the holiday season, or offers limited editions available only there. Above all, it is that selected sales staff with the strongest skills from each brand gather in one place. Until 2019, before the COVID-related restrictions, the very best service professionals from around Japan, including store chiefs, trainers, and brand founders, assembled at Isetan Shinjuku in Tokyo. Their expertise was such that many perfume lovers were moved not only by the fragrances but also by the service: “I never knew there were ways of enjoying fragrance like this, or a world like this!” If you are lucky, you may even be assisted by one of the handful of salespeople, trainers, or perfumers whom their peers regard as truly outstanding.

That view remains unchanged in 2026. The practical points for enjoying the venue, however, need updating. The Main Building’s sixth-floor event hall does not accept advance product reservations, holds, or telephone orders, including online payment and cash-on-delivery orders; admission numbers may be restricted when crowded. Sold-out information is scheduled to appear on the official X account from October 7. If you know exactly which limited edition you want, go early; if you have not decided, avoid the busiest periods and allow time to talk with staff. These are two different approaches worth distinguishing. 2026 admission and purchasing information

You can check your route using the official Main Building 6F venue map (PDF). Locating the event booth you have booked and the brands you want to visit beforehand will make it easier to navigate. On October 7, each person needs an eligible MI Card in their own name, including family cards. Check the first-day admission conditions, including how application-completion screens or emails are handled if your card has not yet arrived. The sixth-floor talks and the screenings at Shinjuku Piccadilly are in different venues.

In 2026, the event extends beyond Shinjuku’s Main Building 6F to the Men’s Building, other floors, and department stores nationwide. The schedule alone cannot tell you who will be serving customers at each venue. Rather than assuming a familiar person will be there again this year, ask the staff in front of you about the brand’s background or why they recommended a particular scent. I believe encounters that change your idea of perfume can arise from these conversations, not only from famous new releases. It would be a shame simply to race through fragrances as though ticking off a list.

Personally, I think a luxurious and enjoyable approach is to avoid researching individual perfumes, find brands that interest you, think about what kind of perfume you are looking for, and let a salesperson choose for you. The steps below may help you enjoy the event even more. Maybe! Finding a favorite among so many scents is difficult, which is why the sales staff are there. But starting the search together from zero takes time and effort, so some preparation also matters.

A Beginner’s Guide to Salopa

  1. Check the official website and social media to see which brands will be participating.
  2. Once you find a brand that interests you, choose a tab in the Fragrance Cinema Guide below and read its introduction. If the sheer number leaves you bewildered, browse a little at a time until a brand makes you think, “Wow!” Where a brand has an article button, read about its background too. Trust your intuition: you cannot possibly smell every perfume from this many brands.
  3. Deliberately avoid researching the perfumes themselves, and focus instead on what kind of fragrance you want to find. Heavy or light, the image it evokes, when you would wear it, the clothes you want to pair it with, and whether you want something similar to your usual fragrance or completely different: try to put the fragrance you want into words. The key is not to be too fixed on the scents you already like. You may unexpectedly fall for something else, and that is when your world expands.
★If it is difficult to put into words, another option is to ask someone to choose a fragrance that expresses you. Think about what kind of person you are.
  4. Once you have some idea of the fragrance you want, head to the sales floor. If you are after limited editions, check the admission and sales information; if you want to enjoy conversation, watch the flow of the crowds and allow plenty of time. Mornings are not necessarily quiet.
  5. But a word of caution here: do not apply a fragrance straight to your arm just because you liked the first test. Begin with blotters, narrow the options to a small number, and then ask the staff where and how much to apply to your skin. Remember to note what you applied and where.
  6. Smelling fragrances continuously makes it harder to distinguish them, so leave the venue for a while to rest your nose and check the scent on your skin again one or two hours later. If you like the way it develops too, make your purchase!

Seminars, Visiting Guests, and Experiences (2026)

The pleasure of Salon du Parfum is not limited to trying perfumes. Through the words of creators and people in the perfume industry, you can learn about the culture and work behind a bottle. For 2026, 19 event-booth programs, five brand-booth consultations, and four services have been announced. Some offer time to explore the history of perfume bottles, while others connect fragrance with flowers, chocolate, or music. Planning your day around whose stories you want to hear, and what kind of stories, rather than only what you want to smell, could be rewarding too.

Note: Joschka Klee’s autograph and photo opportunity is available to those who purchase at least one La Nuit Parfum Transfigured Night or Symphonie Fantastique fragrance, or a VAPORMUNDUM fragrance, at the event venue. The conditions for attending the talk and for these purchaser services are separate, so take care not to confuse them.
To book or enter the lottery for each session, go to the relevant program in the official event information.

In cinema terms, perhaps this is like not only watching a film but also listening to its director and creators. You could try a fragrance that interests you before hearing the talk, or do it the other way around. But if you pack your schedule too tightly, you will lose the time to explore scents slowly. Personally, I would choose one talk I really want to hear, then browse the sales floor before and after it.

Five Consultations: If You Are Unsure on Your Own, Start by Putting It into Words

When you do not know what to choose, try making the consultation itself your purpose. It is fine to say that you do not know which fragrance materials you like. Think about when you want to wear it, your usual clothes, and whether you want a change of mood or a sense of calm. Bringing along the thoughts you developed using the beginner’s guide above will give the conversation a starting point. The venue is the Main Building 6F event hall.

The Salon du Parfum Film Festival is a self-guided sampling program that invites you to enjoy fragrances as though they were films. The ISETAN BEAUTY team selects awards such as “Best Screenplay,” focusing on narrative qualities. It is not described as a ranking determined by visitor votes. Step back a little from the question of popularity and consider what kind of story a fragrance brings to mind. As an entry point for trying scents across brand boundaries, it feels particularly suited to this year’s theme.

Experiences like these offer discoveries that differ from simply reading product names or lists of fragrance notes. This year, too, I hope for occasions that leave us wanting to hear more, perhaps even thinking, “Couldn’t they rent a hall at another venue for this?” Details of the film festival and the overall venue program are also available in the official 2026 Shinjuku Main Building information.

Featured Products for 2026: Twelve Ways In, Chosen by a Cinematic Mood

“What should I go and smell this year?” When brand names alone do not help you decide, planning around a creation’s inspiration can be interesting. Cinema snacks, fresh interpretations of classics, memories of journeys, and creators you do not yet know: here are twelve entry points selected from the official announcements, to explore alongside the Fragrance Cinema Guide. This is the site’s selection of intriguing stories, not a ranking.

“Special products” and “advance-release products” are separate categories. We do not treat every officially designated special product as venue-exclusive, or every advance release as something available only on this occasion. The information below comes from materials released on September 16, 2026, and checked on September 17; prices include tax. Products with an Isetan Shinjuku release date of October 7 go on sale on the special invitation day for members. General admission begins October 8. Check each product’s release date, sales location, and stock separately.

Wear the Atmosphere of a Cinema: Sweet Fragrances Can Have Different Scripts

① KOHSHI: Kilesa about to pop Eau de Parfum
Special product / 50 ml, ¥18,700 / Isetan Shinjuku release: October 7

A creation centered on popcorn. Beyond sweetness, I would like to discover the roles played by toasted facets and spices. Before we imagine a character in a film, might it take us into the cinema itself? It seems an accessible starting point for considering this year’s “Fragrance Cinema” theme. Go to the KOHSHI brand introduction →

② THÉOBROMA PARFUMS: Théobroma Eau de Parfum Discovery Set, Kanpanyon du Shinema
Special product / five 10 ml fragrances, ¥17,600 / ISETAN BEAUTY online release: October 7

A set exploring five subjects: churros, cookies, marshmallows, vanilla shakes, and salted-caramel popcorn. Even within appetizing scents, are you drawn to baked treats or cold drinks? This could help you understand your preferences for sweet fragrances in finer detail. It is listed in the official PDF as a special product offered online, so do not confuse it with products on Main Building 6F. Go to the Théobroma brand introduction →

Timeless Classics: “Long-Established” Is Not the Same as “Unchanging”

③ CARON: Pour Un Homme de CARON Parfum
Special product / 75 ml, ¥25,300 / Isetan Shinjuku release: October 7

This is a candidate I would particularly like those familiar with Pour Un Homme to rediscover as a parfum rather than an eau de toilette. Taking the combination of lavender and vanilla as a guide, compare what it inherits from the original with its new expressions. You can enjoy it like another version of a classic film. Go to the Caron brand introduction →

④ FLORIS: FL Eau de Parfum, Malmaison Encore
Special product / 100 ml, ¥44,000 / Isetan Shinjuku release: October 7

For anyone looking for a floral fragrance who does not want to stop at rose or jasmine: this creation centers on carnation. Paying attention to the boundary between flowers and spices may expand your map of florals a little. Precisely because the venue has so many newcomers, it is worth giving yourself a reason to visit a long-established house’s booth. Go to the Floris brand introduction →

⑤ Farina: Farina Serie Extrait de Cologne Discovery Set
Advance release / six 6 ml fragrances, ¥22,000 / Isetan Shinjuku advance release: October 7; nationwide release: October 13

A set offering six fragrances through which to explore the next chapter of a brand central to eau de cologne’s history. A traditional name may bring a single signature creation to mind, but this is an opportunity to compare a series side by side. You might enjoy asking not only which fragrance you like best, but also what the six works share. Go to the Farina brand introduction →

Meet New Faces: Enter the World of the Creations Before Learning the Names

⑥ VAPORMUNDUM: Aura / Electri / Deserta / Serpent Sets
Advance releases / 50 ml each, ¥44,000 each / Isetan Shinjuku advance release: October 7; nationwide release: October 13

Four sets arrive from this brand making its Japanese debut. Nights filled with music, deserts, and rose gardens: the range of subjects itself invites curiosity. Rather than choosing a bottle simply because the brand is new to Japan, first explore the differences among the four works and discover which scene draws you in. Go to the VAPORMUNDUM brand introduction →

⑦ New Notes: Cocktail Maracuja
Advance release / 50 ml, ¥36,300 / Isetan Shinjuku advance release: October 7; nationwide release planned around November

Another Japanese debut. This creation likens fruits and spices to a cocktail, offering a different entry into sweet fragrance from the cinema snacks above. Is it the resemblance to food that you enjoy, or the experience of wearing it as perfume? It is a candidate worth considering separately on blotter and skin. The nationwide release does not yet have a confirmed date; it is planned for around November. Go to the New Notes brand introduction →

⑧ Maison IRFĒ: Saffron Leather Eau de Parfum, 10 ml
Advance release / 10 ml, ¥11,000 / Isetan Shinjuku advance release: October 7; nationwide release: December 1

A candidate if you choose fragrance through the person you want to play or the clothes you want to wear. The small 10 ml size adds a way to live with the fragrance while relating its character to your own everyday life. Rather than considering only its glamour at the venue, imagine the occasions on which you would wear it with your usual clothes; your choice will become more concrete. Go to the Maison IRFĒ brand introduction →

Travel, Memory, and Music: Fragrances Whose Stories Continue Beyond the Bottle

⑨ ELLA K: Precious Discovery Set, SDP Edition
Special product / ten 2 ml fragrances plus 7.5 ml of Musc K, ¥26,400 / Isetan Shinjuku release: October 9

If you cannot settle on one journey, start with little scents, a little at a time. This set lets you compare ten fragrances before finding a favorite, and includes a Musc K travel spray. The scenes that come to mind may change depending on whether you learn the destination’s name before smelling it or try it without looking. Note when planning your visit that it is not released on the opening day, October 7. Go to the ELLA K brand introduction →

⑩ çanoma: Eau de Parfum 20-30 Kagaribi
Advance release / 30 ml, ¥16,500 / Isetan Shinjuku advance release: October 7; nationwide release: November 1

Rather than assuming from the title alone that it smells of smoke, approach it as a creation inspired by Yakusugi cedar. The gap between expectations prompted by a familiar word and the landscape the fragrance actually evokes is part of the interest. Existing çanoma users can also compare it with their own fragrances to see where the brand’s expression has expanded. Go to the çanoma brand introduction →

⑪ P.Seven Tea Perfume: Hojicha × Oolong Tea Perfume Eau de Parfum
Advance release / 66 ml, ¥24,200 / Isetan Shinjuku advance release: October 7; nationwide release: November 25

A creation inspired by Japanese hojicha and Taiwanese oolong tea. It offers an entry point from the broad category of tea perfumes into differences in tea leaves and roasting. Precisely because we carry memories of these familiar drinks, the same fragrance may recall different shops or places for different people. Go to the P.Seven brand introduction →

⑫ La Nuit Parfum: Discovery Collection 2021–2025
Special product / five 5 ml fragrances, ¥15,555 / Isetan Shinjuku release: October 7

The fifth-anniversary set contains Scarbo, Vers la Flamme, Piano Concerto No. 3, Chaconne, and La Valse. You do not need to know music well: let the fragrance lead you to listen to the piece. Encounter it as perfume at the venue, then return to it at home alongside the music. It is a way of appreciating the works that does not end with your day at Salopa. Go to the La Nuit brand introduction →

The selection here is only part of the full range. To check other sizes, other fragrances, and planned nationwide releases after the event, see the official special-products list (PDF, 5 pages) and the official advance-release list (PDF, 17 pages). With advance releases, another option is not to force a decision during the event but to try them again after the nationwide launch.

Salon du Parfum Around Town: Taking Fragrance Stories into Shinjuku

Follow the continuation of a fragrance story that caught your attention at the venue into the city. This year, the experience extends to a perfume-bottle exhibition, a book fair, and cinema screenings. Adding time to look at bottles or listen to creators’ ideas alongside choosing fragrance may change the impression your day leaves.

Henry Jacques takes bookings through LivePocket, while Maison Francis Kurkdjian uses Mitsukoshi Isetan’s reservation service. Check screening details and booking information

Screening check-in is at the special counter on Shinjuku Piccadilly’s second floor, not the twelfth floor (3-15-15 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku). Check-in opens approximately 30 minutes before each session. Stairs must be used from the eleventh to the twelfth floor; there is no elevator for this section. Strollers and large bags cannot be stored. Arriving ten minutes or more after your reserved time will be treated as a cancellation, so allow ample travel time. All times are Japan time.

Join Online Too: The Dates and Selection Are Not the Same as at the Venue

Even if you cannot travel to Shinjuku, some Salopa products are available through ISETAN BEAUTY online. However, not everything at the venue is offered online under the same conditions. Are you replenishing a fragrance you have already tried, or exploring a new brand through a small-size set? Deciding why you are shopping before browsing can make the online options easier to use.

The Fragrance Cinema Guide: What Story Will You Wear Today?

The 2026 theme is “Fragrance Cinema: Wear a Story, Discover Your Many Selves.” Accordingly, this year’s brand map is a guide to discovering brands through stories that interest you, as though choosing a film. Some days you may want to trace history, others to travel somewhere unfamiliar, and others to be a little adventurous. Choose a tab from a section that suits your mood.

The seven sections are this site’s own classification, likening each brand’s background and creative approach to cinema. They do not categorize fragrance families or individual products; use them as entry points into the brands’ stories. The introductions are trailers. If you want to know what happens next, follow the article button to the full explanation. If you already know the brand you want, there is also an index in Japanese syllabary order at the end.

This guide covers the 71 entries, comprising brands, shops, and sales areas, on the official participant list. LCP's Unofficial Booklet for Enjoying Salon du Parfum More

At Salopa there are so many brands to see and scents to try that it is easy to lose track of what you have sampled or find yourself unable to return to a fragrance that interested you. LCP has therefore created an unofficial printable tool that lets you take home records of the scents you tried together with their blotters.

LCP SCENT LOG

LCP SCENT LOG is a fragrance record sheet designed to be printed in A4 landscape and folded down the middle for carrying at A5 size. The first page gathers pointers for navigating the venue and tips for testing perfumes well. Subsequent pages contain narrow record slips that can be placed in OPP bags alongside blotters. There are ten slips per page, enough for 50 fragrances in total.

  • Beginner edition: Select a fragrance family and easily record whether you like it, are curious about it, or feel it is not for you.
  • Enthusiast edition: Write freely about the fragrance family, your first impression, and your later impression.

Print settings: A4 landscape, single-sided, no scaling (100%). Cut out the record slips you need along the dotted lines and use each in an OPP bag with one blotter.

This booklet is an unofficial tool independently produced by LCP. It was not created or supervised by Mitsukoshi Isetan or the participating brands. For the latest event information and reservations, check the registration schedule and application links in this article and the official information.
