　現在は、[シムライズ社](https://lechercheurdeparfum.com/symrise)に吸収された香料会社ハーマン＆ライマー社が香水に使用される[天然香料](https://lechercheurdeparfum.com/glossary#NATI)と[合成香料](https://lechercheurdeparfum.com/glossary#SYTI)について、書き記した本です。香料会社の本は珍しく、こちらの書籍もかなり古いため、貴重な1冊です。

　ルラボの創業者であるファブリス・ペノーとエディ・ロッシが、香水について学びたいなら、ということでオススメしている本でもあります。

　1つ1つの香料について、絵が差し込んであるため、分かりやすく、細かい情報を端的に書いています。調香師を目指す人や香料マニアは1冊持っておいても良いかもしれません。
